    Christine est artiste depuis 60 ans.  Elle fait appel à divers matériaux: l’encre, le graphite, l’aquarelle, les pastels, les matériaux mixtes et l’acrylique. Elle travaille (sculpte)  aussi l’argile et crée à partir d’objets trouvés.  Sa mère, qui était douée, a été son premier professeur en arts visuels.  Elle a récemment obtenu son Certificat d’arts fondamentaux à l’École d’art d’Ottawa (2014).  En 1999, elle perdait la vue; la rétine de ses deux yeux se détachait. Elle offrira toujours un témoignage de gratitude au chirurgien de Ottawa Eye Institute, Dr. Britton qui a sauvé sa vue.  Depuis, sa passion créative s’est intensifiée.  Sa peinture est de style, impressionniste et abstraite.
   Comme artiste, elle partage son message sur l’état des femmes dans le monde et notre  société et son trouble envers la déforestation de notre planète.

English Bio

Christine has been an artist for 60 years and creates with graphite, charcoal, inks, watercolours, pastels, mixed media and acrylics. She also sculpts with clay and found objects.

Her artist mother was her first art teacher. Her artistic education spans several decades.  Christine obtained her General Arts Certificate from the Ottawa School of Art (2014).

 Her artistic passion intensified after the retina in both her eyes tore in 1999. She expresses lifetime gratitude to the Ottawa Eye Institute surgeon,  Dr. Bill Britton who saved her sight.

She paints in the  impressionist and abstract  styles. As an artist, she shares her concerns on  the unsolved problems of women in the world and the de-forestation of our planet.
